Wax

Common Characteristics :
Wax ribbons are best for general purpose labelling. These ribbons are suitable for applications where little physical contact with the printed image is likely to occur or where image life is short term.
Common Substrates :
Coated and uncoated paper tag and labels. |
Wax/Resin

Common Characteristics :
Wax/Resin ribbons can be used for all purposes where wax ribbons are used but there is a chance of abrasion or scratch due to contact.

Coated and uncoated paper tag and labels.
Polyethylene, Polypropylene, Polyolefin. |
Resin

Common Characteristics :
Resin ribbons are generally reserved for special applications. Designed for harsh environment labeling applications where resistance extreme abrasionm heat and/or chemicals is imperative.
